Visa Information

    Australian passport holders do not need a visa to enter Australia. New Zealand passport holders can travel to Australia without a visa and obtain a visa on arrival at the airport.

    All other passport holders need the right visa to come to Australia. You also need to get your visa before you travel to Australia.

    If you hold a passport from any of the countries listed below, visa Subclass 601 (Electronic Travel Authority, ETA) might be appropriate for conference attendance. There is an online application service charge of AUD$20 and minimal processing time.     Individuals can apply for an ETA if they hold a passport from:

    For other passports, please visit the Department of Home Affairs website at https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-finder/visit which asks you a series of questions and will then suggest which visa to apply for.

    For non-ETA visas, we request you apply for your visa at least 8 weeks in advance of the intended date of travel to Australia.
